POLITICAL CHANGES IN SPAIN EXPECTED TO IMPROVE THE PROPERTY MARKET
Following this week's general elections in Spain, The PP (Partido Popular) swept the results with a clear majority giving rise to the old saying, "A new brush sweeps clean".
What does this mean to property investors ?.
Well the PP used to be known as the Pro Property party but we shouldn't expect massive change quickly as this would only lead to the boom and bust of the past.
Prime Minister elect Mariano Rajoy has been quoted as saying;
"There wont be any miracles. We never promised any"
"But as we have said before, when things are done properly the results come in"
This seems to reiterate the above view regarding fast changes that will lead to long term problems (as we have seen recently). One thing is for sure, as changes provide improvement in the market, prices will rise.
